Vayru

Starting in Bali · built for everywhere

Explore real places through the people who actually experience them.

Vayru puts travel creators' moments on the map. Find a place, see who has been there, and jump straight to that moment in their own video — then pick up the local words they use.

A real moment, right now in Vayru

“Everyone Said This Ruined Sanur. Now It's Packed.”

The video is the creator's own, played through YouTube. Vayru simply takes you to the moment that matters for this place.

Many travellers, one map

Every moment comes from a public video by an independent creator. A few more from the same map:

How Vayru works

From a pin on the map to the moment someone was there.

  1. 1PlaceA real beach, café, temple or street — a Vayru Place.
  2. 2MapOne map of the world. Look anywhere; every place shows what it is at a glance.
  3. 3Creator momentThe second a traveller on video was there — on camera, or talking about it.
  4. 4Original videoPlays the creator's own video from that second, with their name on it.
  5. 5Local wordsThe Indonesian words and phrases they use, ready to hear and save.

The map is the guide.

Small icons tell you what each place is — cafés, warungs, beaches, temples, stays, the barber. Swipe the cards along the bottom and the map follows, place by neighbouring place.

Ask for something that isn't nearby and Vayru doesn't leave you with an empty map: it takes you to the nearest one it knows, and tells you how far, and which way.

Choosing Beach while looking inland: Vayru moves to Pantai Matahari Terbit, the nearest Vayru beach, 28 km south, and says so.

Words & phrases

Learn the words people actually use there.

Vayru collects the Indonesian that creators use in their videos and links each word back to the moment it was said. Hear it, save it to My Words, and replay the creator saying it.

Phrases as heard in public Sanur Diaries videos; each links to the creator's video at that second.

Sign in and they come with you. Your Saved Places and My Words are kept in your Vayru account. Sign in on another iPhone or iPad and they're there.

Searching Words & phrases for 'pantai' in Vayru: several results, each with its English meaning and the Sanur Diaries moment it comes from.
My Words in Vayru: saved phrases with their English, a Hear button and a link to the creator moment.

Vayru Lens

Point at the sign in front of you.

Lens reads the text through your camera, outlines it, and puts the English right where the words are — on your phone, without uploading the picture. Freeze it to look closer, hear it, or save the words you want to keep.

Standing in front of a temple or monument Vayru knows? Ask “What's this?” and it can take you to the place and its creator moments — and it says so honestly when it can't tell.

For travel creators

Your moments, found at the place they matter.

You film a café, a beach path, a warung worth the walk. Months later, someone is standing nearby wondering where to go. Vayru connects them with your moment — at the time and the place it becomes useful.

  • Your video, your channel. Vayru doesn't copy or re-host videos. Moments open your public video on YouTube, from the second that matters.
  • Your name on every moment. Each one is credited to you and links to your original.
  • Moments, not summaries. Travellers go to you to watch it, in your words and your voice.
  • Want to talk? Questions, corrections or anything about how your videos appear in Vayru: email hello@vayru.app. The creators page explains exactly how it works.

Starting in Bali. Built for everywhere.

Bali is the first place on the Vayru map — from Sanur's beach path to Ubud, Uluwatu and Nusa Penida. Vayru works the same way anywhere in the world: one map, real places, and the people who show you them.
